Module 9
We have had the great opportunity to use Scootle at school for the last two years as it is an amazing tool for student learning particularly for the differentiation of programs and student experiences. Educational sites are many and varied, suitable for modifications where appropriate. The function-search and browse assists in the location of a great array of teacher resources.

Module Five
Today was really interesting as we visited podcast-audio files that we can download to listen to eg. ipods and vodcasting- educational videos to use- eg. utube.
Fantastic opportunities to use digital stories-mind maps-creating media. Also further explored how to use powerpoint to create stories-photostory/photos with music. Gaining a greater understanding of downloading utube./itunes. We signed on to Teacher Tube and searched for subjects of educational interest. I just embedded a clip onto my page- our site. The possibilities for classroom use are extensive as can use podcast and vodcasting to enhace student skills and understandings.

Module Three
Today learnt how to access google docs- creating and sharing online applications. We created a new document -then created link followed link to email document to others to read and edit our work. In was great to receive others emails , to edit etc. Ther appears to be limitations regarding security and privacy as different filters at school could affect use.
In class particularly with older students- using laptops- can do work on googledocs- teacher receives work- checks, edits and sends backwards and forwards. A great idea to inspire students.
Module Four.
Flickr: We learnt to access photo collections crop/save photos, how to organise photos around a theme. Copyright issues were taken into consideration and only approved photos used. Flickr is great to use. I was able to ensure privacy of selections made. Hoping to continue working on prints, photobooks and slideshows, ways to upload photos and videos. An interesting session.

Module Two

A great- interesting first attempt at blogging today. We began by creating a blog entry and including what we learnt about in module 1. We discussed the educational uses of blogs and how blogs can enhance learning and teaching in the classroom.
A great way to record learning experiences in the class and school. Students have the opportunity to engage in recording reflections, ideas and experiences and share these with others.
